"PYE LAKWA" literally means "FOOT OF THE CROSS".
When we are at the foot of the cross, we are in full contact with the blood of Jesus which falls upon us to cleanse our soul while giving us access to God's kingdom. (SALVATION)
At the foot of the cross, we are also cleansed by the water that fell from His body, water that flourishes the seed of life in us. (FORGIVENESS & PROSPERITY)
At the foot of the cross, we are under Jesus' shadow and His direct watch, safe from the burning heat of the world around us, living the peace He promised to us. (PROTECTION & PEACE)
At the foot of the cross, we live the power of the Holy Spirit through the accomplishment of all the promises of the Father in the Son. (POWER)
NOT JUST AMERICAN
The Caribbean-Americans are indeed Americans. But they have needs, desires, resources, challenges and dreams that CAN ONLY be addressed by the Caribbean churches.

The Caribbean-Americans are indeed Caribbeans. But they have needs, desires, resources, challenges and dreams that CAN ONLY be addressed by the American churches.
UNIQUELY CARIBBEAN-AMERICAN
They also have needs, desires, resources, challenges and dreams that CANNOT be addressed by either the Caribbean or the American churches. This is where PYE LAKWA comes in. Even though the church is open to EVERYONE, the Caribbean-Americans are the focus.
PYE LAKWA Christian Center will NOT be a church the Caribbean-Americans JUST GO TO but will be THEIR OWN church.
They won't have to either be outcast or discarded for being Americans nor will they have to "hide" or "forget" that they are Caribbeans. The harmonic combination of both the Caribbean and American culture will engender a unique atmosphere of worship, praise and experience of the Word of God.
Because they have challenges, dreams, goals and resources that are unique to them, PYE LAKWA will be a platform to allow them to use their full potential to serve God and their community while their specific needs are being addressed.
PYE LAKWA will be much more than a church with programs for the youth. It's been said for ages that the youth is the HOPE of tomorrow, but never what it is today. PYE LAKWA will be a church of TODAY with the youth, by the youth and for the youth because they are the POWER of today.
PYE LAKWA will not be exclusionary by any measure. We will embrace the deep knowledge, the wisdom, the experience and the prayers of those Caribbeans who came before us. We want PYE LAKWA to be the answer to their prayers while allowing them to actively take part in shaping and improving how we serve God. We will also embrace the Americans with their wealth of ways of living and celebrating the blood of Christ.
and Maintain the RELEASE CAMPAIGN to evangelize and rescue those lost souls who are longing for God but with nobody to pull them off the Devil's grip.
We will target those people who have not accepted Christ or who had but had totally abandoned their faith for the pleasures of the world. This group of unborn-again or lost born-again are under the grip of the devil. They might have tried to go (or go back) to Jesus through the traditional churches, but they were either kicked out or not well received. But most of them have not even gotten near a church since they know they won't belong or be accepted. And others have not even thought about Jesus since the Devil has consumed even their conscience of their loss.
Our goal is to RELEASE THEM FROM THE ENEMY'S GRIP so they can either come to Jesus or come back to Jesus. We're not going to tell them to COME TO CHRIST OR ELSE... But rather come to Pye Lakwa and belong. We are a family willing to help each other on the road to Christ.
